Time estimates were chipped away at in hopes of getting the project ready by April 1. Could get busy soon. Saw Justin, he played some tracks from their up coming album. They've been all over the east coast and will be heading back to Europe and Scandinavia - he said there's no budget to bring me. No word from Dawn yet about Lucky. Kell says only 10 days till Maui.

Traffic has been great, the commute even enjoyable. Stairway To Heaven came on on the way in and audio book on the way home. Arrived to a dolled up wife who was ready to go to the Library Ale House. It was a nice way to catch up after a nice day at work. I worked with Shanthi for over an hour on creating a generic menu class. At dinner, Kelly told me about Dawn’s dog who might have to be put down. Dinner was good, a south western salad for Kelly who has lost 8 pounds, and fish and chips for me.

Yesterday was back to the grind. The grind isn't too bad, especially with such light traffic. Worked on a pattern for inheritence in JavaScript where a derived class with method a could call up to the base class method a. Used prototype.js but haven't found a good solution yet. prototype.js is very interesting, make your head spin. Had a nice dinner with Mom and Leanne last night. Leanne is just back from India, and it was fun to hear about her travels and the people she saw. Mom seemed a little low. Started listening to Robert Ludlum's The Cassandra Compact.

There were little signs that the New Year was brought in the night before. The streets were blissfully empty, the cars were parked oddly, the sidewalk beside the car I was parking in front of had been vomited on by the passenger, the car in front of me had a person sleeping in it. Kelly and I were grateful to have woken up feeling 100% for the first time in weeks, after weeks of being sick. This was our first visit to the beach in Marina Del Rey, where we’d heard dogs could run off leash, not legally, but relatively safely if you left when the black trucks came down the shore. Josie loved it, and bounded out with pure joy. She didn’t hesitate to jump in the ocean sea and frolic in the early morning cool sand. We then took Josie to the dog park to dry off and see her friends – all before 8:30 am. We then treated ourselves to a breakfast at Joe’s hoping to see Ono. With the New Years spirit I called Mom, Dad, Grandma, Bob and Pat and sent out pictures of Russ’ 72 birthday (http://picasaweb.google.com/nbasham). Holidays have an odd feeling like something is missing without Grandma. Kelly and I pulled a blanket over us on the couch and watched the USC vs. Wolverines game. Finished Transfer Of Power by Vince Flynn, real meat head character, that said, I really enjoyed it. Got it as a book on CD from the library, I use the iPod Shuffle everyday - very functional. Thought a bout some resolutions…a nice first day of the year.
